The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara has demanded that action should be taken against the politicians responsible for making backdoor appointments in Vidhan Sabha. In a statement he said that cancellation of the appointments done after 2016 from Vidhan Sabha by speaker Khanduri is actually not justice. He said that from day one the Congress party was demanding that all the appointments done in Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha should be investigated.
Mahara said that the action should be taken on the politicians who shed morality and appointed their relatives and favoured ones in the Vidhan Sabha through the backdoor. He added that the involvement of the senior officers of the administration should also be investigated in the case. Challenging the expert committee set up by the speaker, Mahara said that the actions of the Vidhan Sabha speaker cannot be investigated by any bureaucrat.
