Considering the fresh surge in Covid-19 cases, the Uttarakhand high court has directed the temporary closure of the district and family courts of Dehradun and Haridwar for two weeks in order to enable sanitisation. The official works in these courts during this period will be conducted virtually as per the May 2020 notification.

As per the notification issued by the HC registrar general Dhananjay Chaturvedi, one third staff below the age of 55 years will be present in these courts during the said period. He has requested the district judges of the two districts to get the court staff aged 45 and above vaccinated against Covid through the Health department soon.
