Heavy rain warning issued for four districts today

A day after heavy rains caused considerable damage in Dharchula region of Pithoragarh district, the State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy rain in four districts of the State on Sunday. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Nainital and Bageshwar districts on Sunday. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the mountainous regions and at a few places in the plains of Uttarakhand today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy sky. Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 32 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 32.3 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 32 degrees Celsius and 24.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22.4 degrees Celsius and 14.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25.3 degrees Celsius and 17.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
