A fire broke out in the Raj Plaza complex situated at Dilaram Bazaar here early on Thursday morning. Officials said that no casualty or injury was reported in the mishap. They said that a short circuit appears to be the reason for the fire but the police will investigate the matter to ascertain the cause.
The officials informed that the fire broke out in a training centre on the third floor of the complex on Thursday morning. Five fire tenders were sent to the spot after the police received information from locals. However, the locals said that by the time the fire tenders arrived to douse the fire, the fire had spread to a nearby shop in the complex. It took about one and half an hour for the fire brigade teams to extinguish the fire.
According to the officials, no loss of life was registered in the fire but properties worth lakhs of rupees were damaged. They said that the police would assess the damage caused by the fire with the shop owners of the complex to ascertain the actual amount of damage.
