Two persons were seriously injured when the utility vehicle they were travelling in fell into a gorge near Gurkhiya Mandakhal on the Pauri- Khirsu road on Thursday. The Pauri police with the assistance of the fire service and the district disaster management team rescued the injured persons and admitted them to the district hospital at Pauri.
According to the information, the Paubo police post received information through 108 emergency service that a vehicle UK12 CA-5786 had fallen into a gorge near Gurkhiya Mandakhal on the Pauri-Khirsu motor road after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The police team teached the accident site with necessary equipment and also called the fire service and district disaster management team to rescue the injured from the 50 meter deep gorge. The police, fire service and disaster management teams rescued the two seriously injured persons and sent them by ambulance to the district hospital for treatment. The injured persons were identified as Bihar native Sarvar and Srinagar, Pauri resident Devendra Singh.
