Harish Rawat hits campaign trail on last day

Braving the post Covid-19 weakness, the former chief minister and general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Harish Rawat plunged himself into the election campaign in Salt on Thursday. The Congress heavy weight addressed three well attended public meetings in Salt where the by election is slated on April 17.  Thursday was the last day of the campaigning and Rawat tried to strike an emotional chord with the voters. 

Addressing a meeting at Shyalde, the former CM said that Congress party does the politics of development while BJP is only concerned with politics of slogans, religion and caste. He listed the works undertaken by his government and attacked the BJP government for putting all these schemes on a back burner. On an emotional note Rawat said that  the disease had shook him so much that he believed that end is near but the blessings of God has made him stand up again. He said that people should vote for Congress candidate Ganga Pancholi for all round development of the area.

The in charge of Uttarakhand Congress Devendra Yadav, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh, former speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal and other senior leaders of the Congress party also addressed these meetings.
