The Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority to construct the corridor on the lines of Kashi & Ujjain
The Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority is working on a plan to build a majestic and grand corridor in Haridwar on the lines of similar corridors in Kashi and Ujjain. In its recent board meeting the authority has passed a proposal in this regard.
The proposal is being welcomed by the saints and general public. They are confident that like Kashi and Ujjain, the corridor in Haridwar will be grand and divine.
The District Magistrate (DM) of Haridwar Vinay Shankar Pandey said that on the initiative of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a decision to construct the corridor in Haridwar has been taken. He said that the work has started on the corridor construction and soon a consultant would be appointed for this. Illegal encroachments in Har Ki Paidi area are being removed first for the construction of the corridor, he added.
The former union minister and Haridwar MP, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a deep attachment to the Himalayas and Uttarakhand. “Along with the Char Dhams of Uttarakhand, religious city Haridwar is known as the soul of the country, so it is for sure that Haridwar will be developed on the lines of Kashi and Ujjain by PM Modi,’’ he said.
Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri of Niranjani Akhara said that PM Modi would develop the corridor on the lines of Kashi and Ujjain. He said that the initiation has been done and we hope that soon its result will be visible on the ground.
