The police arrested two more persons who were among those accused for assaulting doctors of the Pauri district hospital. The police arrested the accused Mohit Negi and Jaipal Singh on the weekend.The police have so far arrested four accused persons in this assault case. The police had arrested the owner of the PG hostel Gunjan Negi and Parvej Kumar on Thursday. However, all the four accused arrested by the police have been granted bail by the court of the chief judicial magistrate.
It will be recalled that the police had arrested the accused based on the complaint lodged by Dr Rahul Saini who is posted in the Pauri district hospital. The district hospital is being run in PPP mode. It is pertinent to mention that on February 28, some persons entered the PG hostel at night and had heated arguments with some doctors, who were reportedly enjoying music.The persons had allegedly assaulted and injured five doctors. Dr Rahul Saini had lodged a complaint regarding the incident in Pauri Kotwali on Tuesday.The complaint stated that the owner of PG hostel, Gunjan Negi along with his wife Anjali and about half a dozen persons had entered the PG hostel at about 11.30 PM on Monday and attacked the doctors injuring five of them.The police registered a case against Gunjan Negi, his wife Anjali and about half a dozen other unknown persons under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
