Four-day celebration planned to mark 100 years of MKRPL

The board of trustees of Mahatma Khushi Ram Public Library (MKRPL) in Dehradun has decided to celebrate the centennial year of the library this year discreetly considering the uncertainties and possibility of a third wave of Covid-19.

The MKRPL is the oldest public library of Uttarakhand which is completing 100 years on October 4 this year. As informed by the president of the trust, VK Bansal, the celebration of the centennial year of the library will start from October 1 till October 4 in order to restrict the number of visitors or guests on any single day. The Dehradun mayor, Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ will also be present on the last day of the celebration on October 4, revealed Bansal.
