Father & 3-year-old son from Rajasthan die in road accident

A man along with his three-year-old son died in a road accident in Haridwar’s Bahadrabad area. They were on their way from Rajasthan to take a dip in the Ganga river along with five other family members. According to the station house officer (SHO) of Bahadrabad police station, Ranvir Singh, a car carrying a family of seven from Rajasthan crashed into a tractor at Badhedi Rajputana area in Bahadrabad on Saturday morning. Two persons- a 35-year-old man Ram Swaroop and his three-year-old son died in the crash while others were injured in the mishap. The car was so damaged that the police had to cut the car to extract the dead bodies. On the question of the cause of the accident, Singh said that it is being speculated that the driver was drowsy. “We have been informed that one of the family members who was driving, was feeling sleepy when they arrived in Bahadrabad that caused him to crash into the tractor. We will take proper statements soon. Two people died on the spot while others were injured. Three had sustained minor injuries while the other two sustained serious injuries. They are getting treatment in the hospital,” said the SHO.
