Three children died when the pickup vehicle they were travelling in fell off the road near Pujargaon in Lambgaon area of Tehri district. The mishap occurred late on Sunday evening and resulted in the deaths of the children reported to be aged between 10 and 15 years.
On receiving information about the mishap, a police team and two ambulances reached the site of the accident while the local residents also reached the site to conduct the rescue operation. According to the disaster management officer, the victims have been identified as Gaurav (11), Shankar (10) and Akhilesh (14). The driver of the vehicle was able to jump at the time of the mishap and is said to be stable. Further details of the mishap were awaited till the time of this report being filed.
