Taking cognisance of the reports that the facility of vehicles has been taken away from the district level officers of Education department, the Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said that vehicles would be provided to all eligible officers.
The minister has also sought clarification from the senior officers of the education department on the issue. In a statement the minister said that the facility of vehicles would be given to all the officers who are eligible for it. He said that in view of the tough geographical conditions in the state the facility of vehicles for the departmental officers is necessary. Rawat said that he has directed the director general (DG) education, primary and secondary education directors to clear things on the issue. He said that a report on availability of vehicles in the department has also been sought from the officers.
The minister also assured the budget would be provided if shortage of vehicles is found in the department.
