X-ray machines installed in 12 health centres

One dozen government health centres in the State have been provided with x-ray machines. With this the patients will not have to visit bigger or distant hospitals for undergoing x-ray examination. Officials informed that 300 MA x-ray machines have been provided to a dozen government hospitals including Someshwar, Deghat and Jaiti community health centres in Almora district, Gangolihat CHC in Pithoragarh, Kirtinagar and Chamba CHCs in Tehri, Bungidhar and Chakisain primary health centres and Satpuli CHC in Pauri, Bahadrabad CHC in Haridwar, Sahaspur hospital in Dehradun and Agastyamuni hospital in Rudraprayag. In a statement released during his Rajasthan tour, Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that x-ray machines have been provided to these hospitals as part of the government’s efforts to modernise health services in Uttarakhand. He said that the installation of these x-ray machines will prove effective in the treatment of bone-related and other issues in remote areas and the Char Dham Yatra circuit. Rawat further informed that the installation of CT scan machines is planned in the sub district hospital in Rishikesh and the Champawat district hospital under corporate social responsibility. These machines will be installed in the near future. These developments will also help the locals in the treatment of serious ailments, the minister added.
