Dhami gets muddy in the field, participates in paddy sowing

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami showed his adroitness in handling the bullocks on Saturday morning when he handled them while preparing his field for sowing of paddy in Nagra Terai, Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar district.
Dhami who completed four years of his being the chief minister of the State on Friday showed that apart from being an expert politician and administrator he can also handle a pair of bullocks and undertake other farming activities.
On the occasion, the CM offered traditional prayers to Bhumiyal Devta (land deity), Lord Indra (rain god) and Meghraj (god of clouds) amid the sound of folk songs. Dhami’s gesture drew enthusiasm and praise from the villagers. He said that visiting the farms had revived memories of the past. The CM said that farmers are not only the backbone of the economy but are also the flag bearers of culture and tradition.
Meanwhile, the pictures and videos of CM participating in paddy sowing went viral on social media platforms on Saturday. Most of the people appreciated the effort by the CM and said that the gesture will give a boost to the morale of the farmers.
