Char Dham pilgrim numbers reach 25.53 lakh

More than 25 lakh people have visited the Char Dham shrines so far. According to information received from the Tourism department on Monday evening, the number of people who had visited the Char Dham shrines had reached 25, 53,742. According to official data, 3,38,065 people have visited Yamunotri, 4,39,416 have visited Gangotri, 8,56,726 have visited Kedarnath and 9,19,535 have visited the Badrinath temple so far. Apart from this, 1,23,756 people have visited the Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara so far. According to the department, 628 people visited the Yamunotri temple on Monday while 1,504 visited the Gangotri temple, 6,707 visited the Kedarnath temple and 5,732 visited the Badrinath temple on Monday. Similarly, 1,193 people visited the Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara on Monday.

Apart from this, a total of 1,61,560 people have availed of the OPD services while 11,643 have availed of the emergency service. While 883 persons have sustained injury so far, 629 were referred by ambulance and 43 were referred by helicopter to high centre for treatment. Further, a total of 3,98,927 people have been screened by the authorities out of which 4,606 submitted an undertaking to the authorities regarding going ahead for the pilgrimage despite serious health issues. Apart from these, 96 visitors have been sent back by the authorities so far.
