With the Election Commission barring physical rallies till January 15 amidst rising cases of Covid-19, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) cancelled its physical rallies and has decided to commence its Navparivartan Abhiyan from Monday through digital modes to reach out to the voters across the state. Many senior leaders of the party were scheduled to visit the state to participate in this seven-day campaign to address public gatherings and hold rallies but now they will interact with the public virtually. The AAP’s state spokesman Naveen Pirshali informed that the party will start its seven-day campaign on Monday which will be addressed by the deputy chief minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia.

There will be a second virtual rally on Tuesday which will be addressed by Rajya Sabha MP and senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh. Similar rallies on Wednesday and Thursday will be addressed by the cabinet minister of Delhi, Rajendra Pal Gautam and Delhi MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj respectively. The party’s national spokesperson Atishi, cabinet ministers of Delhi Satyendra Jain and Gopal Rai will address the rallies on the last three days of the campaign, informed Pirshali. He said that the virtual rallies will be conducted at 12 pm every day and the party will try to reach the maximum number of people through these rallies.

He said that AAP has received immense support from the people of the state in every campaign and rallies organised so far and many are also joining the party on a regular basis. “Our party is the first to take this initiative in the state considering the current Covid situation. All the arrangements have been made to organise virtual rallies. With the public support and their enthusiasm to rebuild the state, we are certain that the AAP will form the government in March,” said Pirshali.
