Chief Secretary (CS) S S Sandhu has directed the administration to make all the preparations for the Global Investors Summit -2023 within the stipulated time. The CS chaired a meeting at his office on Thursday to discuss the preparations for the summit which will be held on December 8 and 9 in Dehradun. In the meeting the CS directed the officers to prepare a broad framework of every event being planned for the summit. He said that all the preparations regarding traffic management and security for the summit should be completed.
The CS said that the officers should ensure that the investors coming from different parts of the country and world and the general public do not face any traffic problem. He ordered that Police personnel from other districts should be deployed for managing traffic during the summit. The CS said that proper arrangement of parking should also be made near the programme site. Sandhu said that the investors can be taken to nearby tourist spots during summit. He directed the officers to complete the ongoing beautification works of the city in time. The CS also ordered that the power cables, fiber lines and TV wires should be made underground.
The additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagoli, AS Hyanki, BVRC Purushottam, Pankaj Kumar Pandey, V Shanmugam, Vinod Suman and Vice chairman of MDDA Bansidhar Tiwari were present in the meeting.
