Covid-19: Recovery rate surges past 90 % in U’khand

359 fresh cases, five deaths reported on Saturday

With increased recoveries and reduction in number of fresh cases the recovery percent of Covid-19 in Uttarakhand crossed 90 percent mark on Saturday. The authorities discharged 451 patients of the disease on the day after their recovery following which the recovery percent became 90.05 percent in the state. Meanwhile 359 fresh cases of the disease were reported on Saturday which increased the tally of the patients of the disease to 60155. The department also reported deaths of five patients on the day after which the death toll mounted to 984 in the state.

One patient of Covid-19 each was reported dead from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Himalayan hospital, Dehradun, Mahant Indiresh hospital, Dehradun, HNB Base hospital Srinagar and Vinay Vishal Health care hospital, Haridwar. 

The authorities reported 90 fresh cases of the disease from Dehradun, 63 from Haridwar, 48 from Nainital, 31 from Chamoli, 24 from Pauri, 20 from Uttarkashi, 18 each from Udham Singh Nagar and Almora, 13 from Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag, 12 from Bageshwar, seven from Tehri and two from Champawat on Saturday. Out of the 451 patients discharged on Saturday, 196 are from Dehradun, 98 are from Haridwar and 35 from Tehri. The state now has 4542 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 1115 active cases is at top of table while Nainital with 564 cases is now at second spot. Haridwar has 551, Pauri 462, Udham Singh Nagar 352, Uttarkashi 261, Chamoli 250, Rudraprayag 202, Tehri 200, Pithoragarh 181, Almora 142 and Champawat 139 active cases of the disease. With 123 active cases of Covid-19, Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table of active cases in Uttarakhand.
