People of the country will bring Congress  back to power in LS elections of 2024: Mahara

The election result of neighbouring Himachal Pradesh has given a reason for the leaders and workers of Congress party in Uttarakhand to cheer after a long time. The party workers started gathering at the party’s head office  here on Thursday morning. When it became evident that the Congress is edging past its main rival BJP in HP, the celebrations started. The party workers distributed sweets and danced to the beats of the drums celebrating the victory of their party in the neighbouring State.

The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Karan Mahara, the vice president of the party (organisation) Mathura Dutt Joshi, State secretary PK Agarwal, Garima Dasauni, Mahanagar president Jaswinder Gogi and Godavari Thapli joined the celebrations.

The PCC president Mahara said that the party has achieved the historic victory under the guidance of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and under leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge. He said that the HP results have proved that the BJP governments have done nothing other than making false promises to the people. He said that the Union and State governments of BJP have misled the people and exploited the poor, farmers, labourers and unemployed. Mahara said that the people are suffering from the huge difference between the promises and the actions of the BJP and expressed confidence that people will bring Congress party back to power in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024.

The PCC president said that though Congress had lost in Gujarat it had not lost courage. He said that the time has come when the Congress party should expose the hidden supporters of BJP like Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and AIMIM.

The former PCC president Pritam Singh said that the people of HP have expressed their faith in the leadership of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. Singh who had campaigned extensively in HP said that the people of the State had made up their minds to throw the BJP out of power.
