Cong trying to misinform youths on Agnipath scheme by spreading misinformation: BJP

The Congress which is trying to create confusion on the Agnipath scheme by spreading incorrect information had in fact ignored the armed forces for 70 years, along with their importance and their requirements. The Congress is disturbed by the manner in which the Union government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been working consistently to enhance the nation’s strength in the defence sector along with empowering the soldiers, said the Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt.
Interacting with the media on Monday, Bhatt said that the biggest benefit of the Agnipath scheme is that it increases the employment opportunities for the youths fourfolds. Along with enhancing the armed forces’ capability it will also provide capable youths and aware citizens to the nation. By decreasing the average age in the armed forces, this scheme will enhance the capability of the Indian armed forces. “The Congress is simply raising ruckus without any factual information, technical knowledge and practical experience regarding the scheme. This scheme has been implemented after detailed deliberations by experts and its results are still awaited. Such schemes have been implemented in Europe, USA, China and other nations. They are an important factor in the strength of any modern military force. The need for decisive improvement in the armed forces was feld even when the Congress was in power but they lacked moral strength,” said Bhatt.
He further said that during its 70 years in power, the Congress never implemented one rank-one pension scheme. The armed forces today have necessary resources and weapons along with being capable of taking decisions. The government is concerned about the soldiers serving on the borders. Families of servicemen are being provided all facilities while in the past the soldiers didn’t even receive the honour they deserve, said Bhatt.
