Cong challenges CM Rawat to contest Salt by -election

BJP govt has betrayed the people of U’khand- Yadav

The Congress party has challenged the chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat to contest the upcoming assembly by- election from Salt.

This challenge was given by the in charge of Uttarakhand Congress, Devendra Yadav during his Facebook live programme on Saturday. He said that the CM should not hesitate to contest from Salt if he feels that the BJP has fulfilled the promises made to the people of Uttarakhand in the last four years. Accusing the BJP and its government in Uttarakhand for betraying the people of the state, Yadav said that instead of fulfilling the promises made by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leadership during the assembly elections of 2017, the BJP government has taken decisions which have hurt the people. He said that the people of the state are asking about Lokayukt which the BJP government had promised to bring within 100 days but even after 1462 days it is nowhere in sight. Yadav also put the state government on dock for on price rise, highest unemployment rate in Uttarakhand and its zero tolerance on corruption rhetoric.

The state in charge claimed that the huge turnout in the ‘ Jan Akrosh ‘ rally in Srinagar Garhwal indicates that the people of the state have made up their mind to change government in the assembly election of 2022. He also said that the organisational activities of Congress party in the state would be intensified further.
