She was administered wrong injection, relatives alleged

In latest news from Dehradun, commotion erupted at the Government Doon Medical College Hospital after the relatives and friends of an 18-year-old girl who died in a few hours since her admission alleged that she had been administered wrong injection by the hospital staffers. As per their allegation, the patient identified as Nisha who was down with fever for some days had been administered the wrong injection meant for the next bed patient who was suspected to have consumed poison. Nisha’s father, a native of Samalta, said that soon after the wrong injection was administered, blood starred oozing out from her mouth and she died. The relatives further alleged that the body had been hurriedly sent to the mortuary keeping them in the dark. Police rushed in on being informed and they tried to pacify the agitated near and dear ones of the deceased girl. As they insisted on speaking to a senior officer of the facility, the deputy medical superintendent Dr Dhananjoy Doval met them. They demanded the staffers on duty be suspended and the death of the girl be probed thoroughly.
