CM inaugurates camp office at Tanakpur in Champawat

Taking a step towards enhancing the reach of the public in the Kumaon region, especially the Champawat district to the chief minister’s office, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the CM camp office in Tanakpur on Wednesday. Addressing the public on the occasion, Dhami said that opening of this camp office will ensure swift redressal of public grievances while also doing away with the need for people to visit the district headquarter or Dehradun for the same. The CM also announced various development schemes for the area including enhancement of existing facilities and infrastructural developments on the occasion.

The CM said, “All issues will now be resolved in the camp office. The general public will not have to travel to Dehradun to raise their issues. This camp office will coordinate with the office of the district magistrate and chief minister’s office in Dehradun to give impetus to development works. The people of the region had been demanding for long that a camp office of the CM should be established in this area.” Dhami directed the district magistrate that the issues which can be resolved at the district level should be resolved there. Issues to be resolved at the offices of the Tehsildar and sub divisional magistrate should also be resolved at those offices. The public should not face unnecessary inconvenience and their grievances should be resolved on time. He further said that officials should work to simplify the issues of the public and ensure solution, disposal and satisfaction.

The Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation chairman Kailash Gahtodi consistent efforts are being undertaken to develop Champawat into an ideal district. He said that it is good for Champawat district that the chief minister has been elected from here.
