Dhami woos U’khand diaspora with appreciation & assurance

In latest news from Dehradun, while virtually addressing the natives of Uttarakhand now settled in foreign countries, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that a new NRI Uttarakhand Board would be set up soon to add to the facilities given under the Uttarakhand NRI cell constituted earlier. While hailing exemplary success of the NRIs of Uttarakhand origin in their respective fields in the countries where they are settled, he urged them to adopt the remote villages in the mountains of their native State to boost their development in line with the State government’s developmental initiatives. Moreover, on the lines of NRI Diwas being celebrated at the national level, such celebration for the NRIs of Uttarakhand origin would be organised too and as part of the celebration, suggestions would be sought from them on how to make the State and the country more prosperous by their dynamic participation in the development march. As per the officers privy to the details, the CM virtually spoke to 22 NRIs now settled in 12 countries, including USA, Australia, China, UK, France, New Zealand and Japan.
