In his address on completing one year in office, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed gratitude to the people of the state for blessing a government with a second term for the first time in the history of Uttarakhand. He assured the people that his government would go the whole hog in meeting their ascending developmental aspirations. He also expressed his gratitude for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his commitment to making Uttarakhand a prosperous state in each and every developmental index. He further said that PM Modi’s emotional attachment to Uttarakhand was well-known. “And we are developing apace deriving inspiration from the PM,” he said.
The CM further said that he was bowing down to the statehood movement martyrs and the statehood activists who had suffered a lot in making the Uttarakhand state a reality. He also gratefully remembered the former PM late Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his role in carving out Uttarakhand of erstwhile Uttar Pradesh as a separate state.
