The Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh claimed that the robbery on the Reliance Jewels showroom was committed by a gang after months of planning. The said gang has committed similar robberies in other States too after thorough planning. Talking about the progress of the case, Singh said the police have recovered a car in which they found three number plates of different States. Besides this, the police also recovered two scooties used by robbers which were stolen from Gurugram about two months ago as per the investigation. The car also appears to be stolen as its engine and chassis number (vehicle identification number) were obliterated to prevent its identification. The SSP said that it might take some time to solve the case but all robbers will be arrested.
