Considering the ongoing Covid- 19 surge, chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat announced that the Char Dham Yatra will remain closed to the public.
Talking to journalists here on Thursday, Rawat said that the shrines will open as scheduled and the priests will conduct the daily worship and rituals as per tradition. However, pilgrims will not be allowed to visit the shrines.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Char Dham Yatra was slated to start with the reopening of the shrines in May.
