The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Madan Kaushik said that considering the enthusiasm of the public to vote, the party is confident of being re-elected in the state. He expressed gratitude to the citizens for peaceful polling in the state.

The BJP state president said that among the voters, considerable enthusiasm was seen in women, youths and senior citizens in the mountainous regions. He averred, “The people impressed by works of the double-engine government have put their stamp of approval on these works with their votes. The opposition attempted various types of tricks to influence the election but the people have retained their strong faith in the BJP. The results of the polling will definitely clear the misconception of the opposition,” said Kaushik.

Reaffirming his confidence about the BJP forming the government once again in the state after casting his vote along with his mother and wife in Khatima constituency, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the citizens know clearly who can facilitate development in the state. He said that he is certain that the people will elect BJP candidates from more than 60 seats.

The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan opined that the enthusiasm especially among the new voters, women, youths and ex-servicemen among other sections of society clearly indicates that the trend of a party not being re-elected for a second consecutive term in Uttarakhand is going to be broken this time. The information being received from mountainous regions of Garhwal and Kumaon, Dehradun, Haridwar and the Terai region is encouraging for the BJP, he said. The people have voted for works of the double-engine government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, against minority appeasement and in favour of a uniform civil code to make this Uttarakhand’s decade, added Chauhan.
