The municipal council of Laksar conducted a cleanliness campaign and awareness programme under Swacchata Hi Seva programme on Sunday. The council had identified two places in each 11 wards to conduct these programmes under the supervision of officials concerned. The participants did voluntary labour of one hour from 10 AM to 11 AM. The officials said that the main programme was conducted in Tehsil under the supervision of sub divisional magistrate Gopal Singh Chauhan. The participants of the campaign cleaned the area of garbage. Considering the risk of dengue in the State, the municipal team also sprayed larvicide and carried out fogging to destroy dengue causing mosquito larvae, added officials.
