Bureaucratic reshuffle in Uttarakhand administration

Responsibilities of 11 IAS and One PCS officers changed

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle the Uttarakhand government changed the responsibilities of 12 administrative officers on Monday. In the transfers, the charge of director general (DG) of school education has been taken away from secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram. The officer however would continue holding the charge of education secretary.

The District Magistrate (DM) of Nainital, Savin Bansal has been transferred to the state capital with the responsibility of additional secretary, Medical Health and family welfare department, medical education and Mission Director (MD) of National Health Mission (NHM).

The DM of Pauri Dhiraaj Garbyal would now be DM of Nainital while Pithoragarh DM Vijay Kumar Jogdange has been assigned the important responsibility of DM of Pauri district.  Nitin Singh Bhadauria who was the DM of Almora has been transferred to Dehradun. He has been assigned the charge of additional secretary of school education and DG of education. The DM of Champawat Surendra Narayan Pandey has been transferred to Almora as DM while the chief development officer (CDO) of Haridwar, Vinit Tomar would be the DM of Champawat.

The charge of MD of NHM has been removed from Sonika. The additional secretary of small and micro industry, culture, USAATA and culture DG, Anand Swaroop would be the  new DM of Pithoragarh. The Pithoragarh  CDO Saurabh Gaharwar has been transferred to Haridwar as CDO while deputy collector of Dehradun, Anushka Pal would be the new CDO of Pithoragarh. PCS officer Dev Krishna Tiwari has been assigned responsibility of additional secretary, small and micro industry, culture, USAATA and culture DG.
