In latest news from Doon, a BJP leader was shot dead by some miscreants in Prem Nagar area on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Rohit Negi who was a former mandal president of Bharitya Janata Yuva Morcha. As per the preliminary police probe, he was called out on some excuse by the miscreants who hail from Muzaffarnagar and then shot at in his neck. His friends who were with him in the same car rushed him to a hospital where he was declared dead.
SP City Pramod Shah said that CCTV footage from the surrounding areas is being scrutinised while four team have been formed to nab the accused.
