In latest news from Uttarakhand, the additional district and sessions court in Kotdwar is all set to pronounce verdict on the chilling case of Ankita Bhandari murder which had sent shock waves across the State as well as the country. Ankita, the receptionist (19) at Vanantra Resort located in Yamkeshwar of Pauri district, had been murdered allegedly by the resort operator, along with his two employees on September 18, 2022. The hearing of the case continued for two years and eight months during which 47 witnesses, including the investigation officer, were presented by the prosecution. The hearing concluded on May 19.
Meanwhile, security has been tightened in Kotdwar ahead of the verdict pronouncement on one of the most shocking murder cases that Uttarakhand has witnessed.
