The Roorkee chapter of the Indian Women Scientists Association (IWSA) organized the golden jubilee Vijaya Agarwal Memorial Maths Olympiad (VAMMO) here on Sunday to mark IWSA’s golden jubilee year. The VAMMO is organized in memory of Vijya Agarwala, one of the founder members of IWSA Roorkee. IWSA Mumbai also participated in the event which was open to the students of classesVI to IX and held simultaneously in various locations. According to the organizers, about 700 students from 16 schools in Haridwar, around 1,000 students from 22 schools in Roorkee, and 470 students from six schools in Mumbai participated in the event. The award function will be held in January 2023 in Roorkee.
