BJP core group to meet today in Doon

The Bharatiya Janata Party core group will meet at the party’s state head office here on Thursday. Informing about this, the party’s State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the BJP national general secretary BL Santhosh, state in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam and state co-in-charge Rekha Verma will also be attending the meeting. The central office bearers of the party will be in the state for two days. From 12 PM to 1 PM on Thursday, the party’s national general secretary and state in-charge will hold a meeting with the state office bearers of the seven cells of the party and seek feedback on the works done by them during the Covid pandemic. The works being done by the cells in the rural areas and what can be done to further step up the efforts will be discussed in the meeting. After that, they will hold a meeting with the BJP State president and general secretaries in which the works of the party organisation and Covid related campaigns being undertaken will be discussed. The meeting of the core group will be held from 4 PM to 6 PM which will be attended also by the chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat, BJP State president Madan Kaushik, all MPs and core group members.

The service in the village programme of the party to mark two years of the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 30 will be discussed in the meeting. Works being undertaken to control the Covid pandemic and provide relief to the general public will also be discussed.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Kaushik chaired a meeting to review the Salt assembly by-election. He said that the manner in which the people of Salt had placed their trust in the BJP shows that they are satisfied with the development works of the state government. The government is currently fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic and will certainly win, he said. The campaign being undertaken against Covid in the state was also discussed in the meeting.
