BJP applauds CM Dhami on Old Age pension decision

The state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has applauded the decision of Uttarakhand government to provide the benefit of old age pension scheme to both husband and wife. The state administration released the Government Order (GO) for the Old Pension Scheme in which both the husband and wife would be the beneficiary of the scheme. As of now only one member in a couple was eligible for the old age pension. In a statement the state media in charge of Uttarakhand BJP, Manvir Singh Chauhan said that the manner in which chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has started taking decisions in favour of poor and downtrodden sections of society within a week of assuming charge has given credence to the slogan of Kiya Hai, Karti Hai, Karegi Sirf BJP. He said that decisions to increase the old age, disability and orphan pensions are historic. Chauhan said that Dhami’s assertion on implementation of Uniform Civil Code within a day of taking charge is historic and proves that he would take major decisions in the interests of the state. He said the governor’s address in the state assembly on Tuesday presented the roadmap for development of the state. Chauhan said that the manner in which CM Dhami is taking decisions shows that the state is moving ahead on the path of fulfilling the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
