The police claimed to impose a penalty on 26 vehicles and seized four vehicles under the MV Act besides recovering a fine of Rs 14,500. The officials said that people usually do not take traffic rules seriously while driving at night due to less number of vehicles on roads, especially outside liquor shops but such negligence can have serious repercussions.
