Aysuhman Cards: Panchayati Raj dept to help in making Health cards

The secretary Panchayati  Raj, H C Semwal has said that all the Jan Sewa Kendras (JSKs) should be activated and the VLEs should ensure that all the eligible beneficiaries get information that Ayushman cards are being made free of cost at JSKs. He was speaking at a training programme of the officers of Panchayati Raj department and social organisations working in rural areas here on Saturday.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Panchayati Raj and the women and child development departments are undertaking an awareness campaign for making the Ayushman cards in  the state.

Speaking on the occasion, the director of state health agency Dr Archna Srivastava said that a total of 45000 cards have been made during the ongoing campaign in the state. The first phase of the campaign started on March 23 and ended on March 27. The second phase of campaign would start after the festival of Holi. She said that the state government has decided that Ayushman cards would be made in 6000 Jan Sewa Kendras. She added that only 50 percent of JSKs are providing the facility of making cards in the state. Under the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana the state government provides free health cover of Rs 5 lakh to every family covered.

The officer of ICDS Mohit Chaudhary said that all the Anganwadi workers are involved in awareness campaign for making the Ayushman cards.
