The Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) constituted under Special Task Force (STF) seized a total of 21,360 prescription capsules and 2,490 injectable drugs worth Rs 20 lakh from Bhagwanpur in Haridwar district on Thursday. The senior superintendent of police (SSP) of STF, Ajai Singh informed that the force has also arrested two accused named Mukhtir Ahmed and Nadeem Ahmed who revealed during the interrogation that they have been selling these capsules and injections to earn more profit in less time. He said that a case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The SSP appealed to the public to stay away from drugs and contact the authorities if they find anyone involved in the selling or smuggling of dangerous drugs.
