Taking note of the absence of parking space for the two-wheelers in Nainital, the State Cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj directed the Nainital district magistrate to designate a two-wheeler parking space for them in the town.
Notably, during his recent Nainital visit, the two-wheeler owners told him that they were facing serious trouble in parking their vehicles. They said that if a two-wheeler rider parks on the roadside even for five minutes to buy goods or medicines the traffic police lock the vehicle.
Showing empathy with their trouble, the minister directed the DM to ensure that until the parking place is designated for two-wheeler’s parking, arrangements should be made to spare them the trouble they have been facing.
