Stating that BJP leader and Lok Sabha MP of Tehri, Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah has been missing from the public’s eye for quite a long time, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders on Tuesday filed a missing person report in the Nehru Colony police station here. The AAP’s State vice president RP Raturi said that Shah has been distant from the public ever since she won elections about five years ago. She has not been active within her own constituency causing hindrances in several development projects, said Raturi.

AAP leader Uma Sisodiya said that Shah possibly considers herself royalty and maintains a distance between herself and the public when in fact, she should be working for them as an elected MP. The AAP said that she is a public representative and should be among them and listen to their grievances rather than disappear for years after winning the election. Sisodiya said that BJP leaders have also started talking about their MP being missing from all fronts in the State which shows her carelessness towards the public. Another AAP leader Ravindra Anand said that the least a public representative can do is to interact with the public but the Tehri MP appears to be least bothered with such activities. He said that BJP has such leaders who do not interact with the public for years to listen to their grievances unless there is an upcoming election. People would remember such leaders in Lok Sabha elections who could not care less about their own people, added Anand.
