
Dry weather forecast for today, temperatures to be above normal in Doon

Following intermittent rain and lower than normal temperatures for nearly a week, hot and dry weather has returned to the State with temperatures now starting to rise above normal in various locations. After sunny and dry conditions in most parts of the State on Friday and Saturday, similar weather is forecast on Sunday. The State Meteorological Centre has forecast that all districts of the State are likely to experience dry weather today. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 37 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, with the rainy spell withdrawing for now, the temperatures, which were below normal a few days ago in various parts of the State, have started to rise again. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 36.4 degrees Celsius and 21.7 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 37.6 degrees Celsius and 21.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 23.9 degrees Celsius and 13.2 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 26.5 degrees Celsius and 15.2 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. No significant rainfall was reported in the State on Saturday.
