In latest news from Uttarakhand, one youth was killed and three were seriously injured when the car they were travelling in skidded off the Tanakpur-Pithoragarh highway and crashed into gorge near Sukhidang area. Upon receiving the information of the accident, an SDRF team from Chalthi rushed to the site and pulled up the injured. Later, they were admitted at the Tankapur sub-district hospital where they are being treated. The deceased was identified as Manoj (27) from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Police said that the four were going to Pithoragarh on tour. As they were heading towards Champawat from Tanakpur, the accident occurred. Police further said that over-speeding might have caused the accident.
