Delegation from Nepal’s Sudurpaschim province meets CM Dhami

A delegation of Sudurpaschim province of Nepal led by its chief minister Kamal Bahadur Shah met Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami at his residence on Saturday. The meeting focused on strengthening the friendly ties between India and Nepal and enhancing cooperation in border areas.
In the meeting, CM Dhami said that Uttarakhand and Nepal share a deep social and cultural heritage and have centuries-old historical relations. He assured full support from the government of Uttarakhand for collaborative efforts in trade, health, education, and infrastructure development in the border regions.
The two leaders also discussed ways for giving impetus to development works in border districts through mutual coordination, promoting cultural and religious ties, boosting tourism, and improving disaster management strategies.
The Nepalese delegation included minister Veer Bahadur Thapa, Ghanshyam Chaudhary, Naresh Kumar Shahi, Jhapat Bahadur Saud, Sher Bahadur Bhandari, chief secretary Kamal Prasad Pokharel Sharma, secretary Surat Kumar Bam, and political advisor Jitendra Upadhyay.
Uttarakhand principal secretary RK Sudhanshu and secretary Vinod Kumar Suman were present during the meeting.
