Dry conditions likely in State today, plains to witness foggy morning

Wednesday saw the maximum temperature drop by a few degrees in mountainous regions while plains registered a rise in the maximum temperature. Similar conditions are likely to prevail on Thursday.

The State meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in districts of the State today. Shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur in some parts of Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts during the morning hours. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky today with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 26 degrees Celsius and nine degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Wednesday were 26.8 degrees Celsius and 9.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 27.6 degrees Celsius and 7.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 14.1 degrees Celsius and 4.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 17.7 degrees Celsius and 6.3 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
