9 years of Modi govt celebrated at Sanatan Dharma Inter College in Doon

In Dehradun news, some noted folk artistes and singers from Uttarakhand, including the eminent folk singer Narendra Singh Negi, performed at Sanatan Dharma Inter College (Bannu) Race Course in Dehradun on Wednesday to mark the completion of Narendra Modi government’s nine years in office.

The local MLA Umesh Chandra Kau who was present as the chief guest said that the artistes can play a major role in taking the people-friendly schemes being rolled out by the Centre and the State government to the common people.

Director general, Information, Uttarakhand, Banshidhar Tiwari said in his address that the government has been striving persistently to preserve the local art and culture. He opined that the local dialects are the best mediums of taking the government’s developmental schemes to the people at large.

Singer Narendra Singh Negi appreciated the initiatives of the Centre and the State government meant to regenerate the people’s pride in Uttarakhand’s unique culture and heritage. Referring to the New Education Policy, he said that it will boost development of regional languages.

The stall showcasing and selling local products attracted a large number of people. Additionally, the government’s welfare schemes were presented through digital exhibition.
