The nine-day Shri Maa Nanda Devi Mahotsav is beginning August 28 on the occasion of Panchami. The announcement came after the executive committee of Shri Ram Sevak Sabha was held under the chairmanship of the religious organisation’s president Manoj Sah.
It was also decided in the meeting that Ashtami would be celebrated on August 31 while Dola Visarjan would be held on September 5. The festival will be telecast live.
At the meeting, 21 sub-committees were formed for smooth conduct of the festival. The devotees were urged to give every possible support to the organisers. The senior functionaries of the sabha will soon meet the district administration, police administration, civic body and some departments, including PWD.
