42nd accused arrested by STF for alleged involvement in VPDO paper leak

The Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) is planning to approach the Uttarkhand High Court challenging the bail granted to accused in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case. Meanwhile, the STF arrested the 42nd accused in the paper leak case on Saturday.

On the directions of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the STF is preparing to approach the High Court to ensure stringent action against the mastermind in the UKSSSC paper leak case. The STF is preparing to file an appeal in the High Court against bail granted by the lower court to operators of the mafia involved in examination malpractices. With Dhami having stressed that none of the guilty will be spared in the case, the authorities arrested the 42nd accused in the case on Saturday. During investigation in the VPDO recruitment test paper leak case in 2021, it was revealed that the accused Yogendra Singh alias Bunty (46) who is a teacher in KM inter college in Dhampur was also involved in the paper leak case. He was arrested on this basis.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier out of the 41 accused persons arrested in the UKSSSC case, a total of 18 have been granted bail by the lower court so far.
