The Uttarakhand Congress has questioned the absence of the cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat who also holds the portfolio of disaster management from thick of things even as the state is facing a situation of disaster triggered by heavy rains. Launching a scathing attack on the minister the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal said that the state is facing a disaster like situation due to heavy rains and landslides but the minister responsible for disaster management is sleeping in his house. The PCC president claims that on Monday when rains were wrecking a havoc on the lives and property, the doors of the official bungalow of the minister were closed till 11 am.
