Acting on a complaint lodged at Raiwala police station by a resident of Raiwala Bazar on May 20 that stated that his bike had been stolen from outside his residence, police formed a team to apprehend the accused. Having scrutinised the CCTV footage, police tracked their movements and arrested three accused from Service Road near Raiwala railway station. The stolen bike was also recovered.
Police said that the trio-identified as Dev (22), Gagan (19) and Prem (21)- were residents of Haridwar and would steal bikes to meet the expenses of their addiction to drugs.
