27 new Covid-19 cases in U’khand on Monday

The state health department reported 27 new patients of Covid-19 in Uttarakhand on Monday. No death from Covid was reported by the department on the day in the state.  Six out of 13 districts of the state reported no case of the disease on Monday.

The authorities also declared 35 patients cured from the disease on Monday.  The department has so far detected 91,837 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 88,005 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 271 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.83 per cent on Monday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.48 per cent on the day.  

  The health department reported eight new patients from Dehradun, six from Nainital, five from Champawat, three from Pauri, two each from Almora and Haridwar and one from Bageshwar on Monday. No patients were found in the Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi districts on the day. 

The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 353.  Dehradun with 124 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 34 active cases of the disease. Tehri is at the bottom of the table with only two active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 9042 people were vaccinated in 734 sessions in the state held on Monday.
